As per the last news, the global shipping association, BIMCO, has launched the ’25 by 25 pledge’, urging the world’s largest bulk sector shippers to transition 25% of their annual seaborne trade volume via electronic bills of lading (eBLs) by 2025. The initiative aims to fast-track trade digitalisation, streamline supply chains, and minimise risks linked to paper bills. Moreover, significant players like BHP, Rio Tinto, Vale, and Anglo-American are already on board. With eBLs at the helm, BIMCO eyes a future of increased efficiency, security, and transparency.
